The Process begins with learning about your company’s product(s); its strengths and weaknesses, regulatory issues, sales (current or expected), etc.  We then take a cursory look at the Japanese market and compare your offering to what is currently available.  If a market exists and we are confident that your company can be successful in it, a contract is put in place between our two companies and we go to work.

Most of our previous projects have involved partnerships with existing Japanese pharmacy or device companies in the form of licensing arrangements or supply agreements.   Before we approach candidate companies, we first work to get clinical support for your product.  Perrin Pacific’s extensive network of physicians, other caregivers and researchers allows contact with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in a myriad of medical fields.  These clinicians are asked to evaluate your product—sometimes actually use it—and render an opinion.  Meanwhile, we research the market in greater depth:  actual market size, key competitors, regulatory hurdles, reimbursement pricing and product positioning strategies.

Once this work is completed, a list of potential partners is created.  By the time we get in front of decision makers at these companies, we already have a strong case to make:  that your product works, that the market needs your product and what kind of sales can be expected.  We invite candidate companies to contact our KOLs to discuss their opinions directly.

Once a partnership is in place, Perrin Pacific then nurtures the relationship to the extent that it is needed.  We act as a bridge between the two companies, thereby expediting the regulatory approval process and continue to cultivate clinical relationships so that, when your products are ready for sale, a strong framework will already be in place.
